The missing roof isn't a real problem but the missing roof bars are - I don't think you could make a cut & shut with a re-re body as I don't think there's a reliable way to bond the polyethylene body

Has anyone ever seen the JACO knock off Holiday Buggy? I'm thinking it may be an inexpensive source for a windscreen and roof frame.

Never seen one in the flesh, but the body looks quite correct.

I did have a cache of photos of someones collection of those (there's a huge variety of body colours & decals) but I can't find it
The problem with using a donor car for the roof rails is that there's almost no overlap at the front (it's not like other tamiya buggies where the "tube" extends a way into the body to give it a bit more strength) and none on the back - the contact areas for gluing or plastic welding will be tiny. I think i'd use the whole fake body - either that or look at homemade alternatives you could screw, glue or tape on |

Thanks for the input guys. I'm gonna try and get the knock off. Not sure what I'll do. If I try and graft Duro plastic weld epoxy is some powerful stuff. I've used PC11 epoxy in small footprint areas because it's strong and sandable.
