Hey folks, late to the party as always.
I've recently acquired a NIB Technidrive & I see the manual still hasn't been uploaded ? I appreciate it may be a little late for the previous poster but I'm happy to scan & upload the manual for the benefit of all members. How / where do I do so ? |

Thanks stingray-63, the scan is trundling through the internet on it's journey to Larbut.
I'll get some pictures of the NIB set shortly & add them here. |

Digging through the huge box of RC manuals I purchased recently from Ebay, I have found more to try & fill some gaps.
The Mk.V manual, what appears to be an English only version of the AP-201 Techniplus Alpha, and a RIKO suplement which is a sort of Acoms / Tamiya FAQ.

More gap filling;
Confirmed sighting of Acoms AS-8 servos on Ebay Teardrop case implies Mk2 era, but the connectors are clearly ARC receiver onwards with smaller plugs & correct wiring. As they are on Ebay US, it's possible they shipped with 72Mhz sets perhaps ? Acoms' servo numbering seems to have been somewhat random particularly around which versions shipped with which radio set, I don't think it's necessarily a case of simply having large stocks of multiple versions though or we would see sets with mixed versions I'd have thought ? Maybe Acoms' packing staff were still very conscientious ? Maybe Acoms released different versions into the wild to see how they perform in the real world ? My impression is the AS-7, AS-11 were the dominant ones, certainly here in the UK, we see smaller numbers of AS-5s & AS-12s for sure. Attachments:

Nice spot
ETA - assuming the badge panels on the AS-8 are the same size as seen on the AS-7 for example, that would make the servo a bit wider than other Acoms servos with close numbers ... I wonder if we're looking at a slightly large, high(er) torque servo, and Acoms used an earlier model as the basis? Without any dimensions or specs I'm just throwing spaghetti at the wall here TBH it's hard to even tell what colour th case is from those photos - you'd think black, but maybe a very dark green?

Finally got round to shooting a few pics of the NIB Mk.IV. This is identical to the one I purchased back in 1988~'89 with my new Monster Beetle (both of which I still have, somewhat worse for wear however), Band 3, AR-227F non BEC receiver & AS-11 servos. The only thing I don't remember from my original is the additional packet of cell spacer pads. RIKO / Acoms were obviously aware of the differences in cell sizes & included a small packet of self adhesive foam pads to address the issue.
