Today, I went to the "delivery experts" (not so experts apparently) agency to get the big box coming from Germany, as the delivery was failing for apparently a few reasons... Next time, will avoid that delivery provider at any price... The box is big, and is about 13.6 kg... That should have me covered in terms of building activities until June or July (budget is literally explosed, but that was okeyed by my domestic dragon :-)...). Later I will finish the Hornet, and will take some pictures. I won't start any of the new kits this week-end.

The plan of the week-end is to take benefit of the nice week-end on this easter week-end to shuffle gravel, sand and so on in the backyard to have nice track for racing with my kids :-D...
I buy kits to built and ru(i)n them :-)

Big box, 13.6kg. Insane order... I had to pass the cap to remove the shipping cost. That helped a bit. But then went completely crazy  ...
Ordered 3 kits, and one RTR (this is the dark side one), plus parts for my son, and few hop-ups for 2 of the kits, and some additional accessories. Would have probably added 2 or 3 bodies if they were in inventory, but that will be for another time...

So... At the end, the RTR is a Traxxas Slash 4WD VXL... I got this because it is known as fairly reliable, and parts are available everywhere at anytime.... Mainly, it will be used for bashing, and on offroad tracks for 1/8 size, while others will be used on 1/10 tracks (I had another one stored for quite a few months for my son birthday which is tomorrow)...

And for the kits, there is 2 Lunchboxes, one is the Black Edition, and the second is the Mini one (I will add a RC converted Jr later, but that is already planed :-D). First because I like those. Second, because the Lunchbox is Savoyarde Cup approved, and my daughter could eventually use it for this (but will have to find a second body, preferably polycarbonate, and she wants it Fluorescent pink... Or any alternative body, but Fluorescent pink - not sure what I can find for this, but I will search). Lunchboxes will be built with the kids.

Then there is a Super Hotshot. I wanted. I had a lot of hesitations between the Hotshot and the Super Hotshot, and finally gone for a Super Hotshot... It is probably going to be far away in the plan of builds....

And as for the parts, various body clips and others elements, bearings for the Lunchboxes (Super Hotshot have them included), and CVA Dampers for the big LB, and steering upper connector for the mini LB...

At the end, you'll probably see some pics here in the next weeks/months about those... (but, yeah, that is called addiction, but somehow, without the lockdown and the requirement to do something refreshing, I would have not done this)...

if I can give you an advice, invest in GPM big cvd for the slash. They are the only ones I didn't explose with my vxl slash. To end mine I need a new sleeper. Mine is exploded to. And surely a new 3s stick.

Thanks Flo for the advise... WIll look into this at some point. I did not run my Slash yet, but my son started to run with his one yesterday (Ultimate version) with a NiMH 7S battery. I did not run mine as the Lipo Stcks I have are 2S 4200/40C which is likely not enough for the VXL3S+Velineon (200A-320A). I will have proper 2S Lipo battery delivered at some point, and will start running it then. Honestly, I'm not sure to go for 3S until some time : this is fast, and in another league than any of the r/c cars I ran before (the telemetry of my son indicated 52km/h on one of the run as max speed)... In short, I also have a learning curve :-D. I believe I'll have to consider for parts at some point as well, and will look for heavy duty upgrades when I do...

In the meantime, looking forward for the first run of the Slash (the delivered body will be good for the fun and dirt bashing, but I also order one to do a proper paint  :-)

My slash was not new when I bought it. And was sold with the lipo. Velineon combo and the tq1 radio set. I exploded the rotor of the velineon....

This morning I did cut the grass in the garden... While at it, I changed the height of the cut to mark a track in the grass

This is the first draft of the track... Had to do something for good training :). Will add marking of the curve, and planned for some wooops additions on the track once I'm happy with the design... The good thing is that doing the track this way, I can actually change the track design every 2 weeks probably :-D
