Today, found some spot to jump...

That is where I measured how much I'm in desperate need for power... In any case, most of the people feel amused with our cars running on the beach... Kids are envious and fathers are asking questions :-)

Today I managed to squeeze 10 minutes in to attach some new shocks to the grasshopper II. Only have to make the steering bars and the front end is done.

Another run at sunset time yesterday... At the end, I believe the steering servo with plastic gearing is almost at the end of its life (the screw is no longer keeping the servo saver in place). I have spare servo with me, but will try to fix it differently when I'll have some time for this...

This has been over the last few days as its taken a while to get done. I've 3D printed a new screw organizer. The draws took around 2.5 hrs each and the case took 9 hours to print but it came out ok and all fitted together nicely.

Now I just have to sit and sort all the screws out :)

That part bin holder looks very handy to have.
Did you find the files somewhere?

My phone holder I ordered last week has arrived.
It was one of the cheapest I could find, but exactly what I was looking for!
The top part slides upwards and are fitted with a plenty strong spring.

And this was what it was bought for.
There is one 1/4" nutinsert on the bottom and one in the backside, I chosed to fit it on top of my trusty LRP transmitter as it is flat ish.
Opened the transmitter and drilled a hole in the top which I then could use to fit a 1/4" camera screw to secure the mount.

The camera screw (stolen from a old camera mount) was a bit too long so I had to use a spacer to fit the mount.
Works brilliantly!!!!
Now I can film and take still pictures from it to have some action shots

I thought about this and put the idea aside while talking to a friend used to take vids/pics of rc car/boats/plane/whatever... Headstrap and go pro mounted on the head makes the job in a very efficient manner. And with 4K vids, you can easily extract pictures of good quality. And at least for myself, there is no way I can concentrate on driving the rc while filming (it's probably a great way to break something :-).). That being said, this would make a magnificent display mount for telemetry data :-)

I'm the same ST I cant drive and film at the same time. I got my grandson to do it last time.  I don't have any plans for mounting cameras on the RC's I roll them too much  :)

Richard, i found the file on thingyverse and adjusted the scale so it would be a bit wider and deeper but still fit in my spares box
