Hey guys.

I was looking for a dedicated thread on the topic of "scam" or "scammers", or some sort of blacklist. But there doesn't seem to be one so I start this thread here. Feel free to move this thread to a more correct section. Anyway, winter is closing in and I was looking for some new rc-cars again. I've been busy with other stuff lately but it always feels good returning to RC because they are such awesome toys.

Browsing the internet for pictures of "Axial Yeti", I understand that the RTR nor the KIT version aren't made anymore, so when I stumbled on the site www.medanelectronic.com asking $314 for the RTR, I just had to buy it. Ofcourse I first sent an email asking if the product was in stock, which on that same evening I got a reply that it was. Amazing... 

Now, MedanElectronic only take Western Union and Money Brokers, or a wire transfer, no Paypal or Klarna. So I transfered the sum plus a shipping fee of $60 using WU to a private account of Yudi Pradana. The next day I got another email saying that the store manager told that the minimum amount was a $1000, so I needed to buy a few more cars, which I did. Yup, xmas came early this year!

We're at over a $1000, four cars (the Axial Yeti, HPI Baja 5B, Losi Rock Rey, and a Vaterra Twin Hammer ), plus shipping. Then I get an email asking for a "tax", yet another $200, and then a swedish airport tax of about a 100. Anyway, after I made a total of four transactions via WU, the package was now ready to ship. I did not get any DHL shipping proof or any tracking number, and they won't reply to my emails. So I consider myself very well scammed.

Any one else got envolved with www.medanelectronic.com ?  I understand that I will not get any money back now, but how can I spread the word about this scammers? I did google before, and I got an impression that the site was about 70% OK. Today I see that it all was too good to be true, all the older kits and RTRs that aren't made anymore, and at lower price. I really feel stupid.

Oh, there's this other guy who wrote something on their facebook page about ripping him off. I messed him but haven't got a reply yet. There's otherwise very little about Medanelectronic on google.

Hey Tom, that sucks for sure. Never did business with them specifically but I have used a few places that I knew I was taking a chance but luckily they took Paypal Credit which is the only form I will use with someone new I have never bought with before. Sometimes it took a while but I remember 2 times where I thought I was ripped off and it actually came.

Hoping maybe you get a tracking number soon....... (I tend to agree with you though, no need to feel stupid for being trusting though...)

 

I know, or rather I should have known. Thanks Jim. I guess I was in a haze, home ill, a bit depressed about summer ending, and in search for some winter comfort of building new kits. In other words the perfect target.

Anyways I'm not the sad guy keeping grudges, planning revenge in the dark, or even contiously harassing the scammer with small 'gifts' every week with reminding messages how great the world would be if we only were scamming each other more. So instead of placing my energy in looking for ways to enhance the scammers bounty I will simply buy more cars!

Hi Sting! No worries, I'm always here. I have too much RC in my blood, I can't just quit.

I'd like to think I wouldn't fall for such a scam, but given exactly the "right" set of circumstances, who knows. I've certainly been blinded by an apparent "bargain" & not got anything like what I was expecting. 

Glad to see the experience hasn't put you off RC though

Hello guys , i am new here .. Also been scammed by this "Indoelectronic "company .. As in Your case , also paid tu Yudi Pradana account for a printhead , after that they told me that according to their conditions, minimal sum of an order should be at least 2000 usd, but after he discussed with his leader , in our case they are agree to ship order with minimal sum of 800 USD .. So they suggested to pay for one more printhead 405 USD ..  I wasn't enchanted about thios situation and after long discussions , i've decided to pay for the second one ...After monew where received , they send me another bill (tax payment & insurance) on Fedex blank - but with bank details from Yudi Pradana ... I become almost sure that this a scam , but after i had discussed with my CEO , he accepted to pay ... Now , i've get no answers to my messages to whatssap ... 
 Lost about 1200 usd ...
Guys , let's think together , how to punish this disckheads ...
Proposing to register on all the platforms where indoelectronic and medanelectronic is mentioned, and give real feedbacks , also on facebook on their page ...
Also a good idea, i think is to make a collective complaint , to police in their city and also to the bank where we had transfered money

Good thinking there, and sorry to hear that you've also been scammed.

That Yudi Pradana must be a real person because he has an account in the bank. So I figured that perhaps if the authorities in Medan would be notified they could shut him down. Unless they're in on the scam as well, I wouldn't be surprised.

Now i am writing a complaint e-mail to this bank with describing the situation , and attaching all the Proforma Invoices
Would be great if scammed coleagues , also would make the same ..
