First in line is the new Tamiya XV-01 chassis. This one's rally for real!
What's really rally about it? Belt driven 4WD with the motor in front! I like it! Belt is protected nicely and the battery compartment is very cool... Comes with a lot of hop ups in the kit I think, which is reflected in the price though. About $350 US. |

This one should be interesting - an Aero Avante on the DF-02 chassis.
I only see it listed at Tamiya USA. Not so much at the Tamiya site itself. Reckon the body will be an upscaled version of the aerodynamic slot car : Curious what that will be. Like it already 'cause it's a DF! Model number will be 58550. 58553 - another Fighter Buggy (Sand Viper) on the DT-02 platform... No pictures yet. |

Hope they wont be releasing all those freaky mini 4wd designs as 1:10 buggy.
There are dosens of avante, manta ray and top force look alikes in and finaly tamiya releases front and rear carbon shockmounts for the dt02, too bad I sold all of them. |

The XV-01 was released not too long ago - I've made the topic into a more general one with the second post...
I should probably have mentioned that, even though the release is still "fresh". Good news is that $350 was a first indication and that Stella lists it for $240 now! I'm more of a shaftie than a beltie myself but I'd surely make an acception for this cool chassis. And I too hope that the Aero Avante won't be all too Pokemonish. |
