will they fit the kyosho rim do you think or does it need to be a three piece rim? the rims on the kyosho are just a pull on fitment that you need to glue?

Could you maybe post a picture of the Kyosho rims?
There would need to be at least a groove in them - not a totally smooth surface. I think you should be able to fit the Hornet tyres then. Possibly put some inlays in the tyres - that way they would keep their shape better. Maybe an approach like this could be helpful to get the glue to settle well : |

hi
yeah i have attached some images of the rims for reference. they are a little scratched up around the edges but only very lightly and as i intend to use this car as a light runner im not too fussed about it. the front wheels and tyres have cleaned up a treat and are re-mounted see attached pic. regards |

Front wheels look very good. Nicely done.
Sadly the 3-piece Hornet rims I have here are glued together. Wanted to see how big the inner flange on the tyre is exactly. But in general I think it's worth a try. The tyres are easily available and not that expensive. I'd give them a 'dry' run first - if the flange is too big you could cut off the tiniest bit. Definitely think the rubber bands will be a helpful tool. Sorry I can't be more certain - combining rims and tyres that are not officially matched is never an exact science. |

New decals arrived today from ebay seller and Tamiya club member tamiyoman. Thought you might like a pic have to say the quality of these is pin sharp im very impressed with them. I think ill send a lot more business his way in the future. All i need now is for teambluegroove to start selling again on ebay so i can get a bodyshell, apparently Canada post is on strike causing them to shut down completely..
