Hi.
I'm searching for a good condition (doesn't need to be mint, but not cracked or abused) battery cover/skid plate (part 3 from the D-tree) for the Hotshot 2. I have PayPal. If you rather want to trade for SRB/Hotshot/Boomerang/Avante or Kyosho Ultima/Optima/Optima Mid parts, I have a few spares, some vintage, some re-re. I might not have what you're looking for, but it's worth a try Tom |

Well, it seems like I need a few other Hotshot II parts as well, so if anyone have spares....
Rear damper tower (part 6 on the D tree). I don't know if this part is shared with any other models. Red "star shaped" wheel mounts (part 3 on the E tree). Need 4 of these.... Again I don't know if these are shared with other models. Note: It's not the red ones for the Hotshot, as those are triangular and not "star shaped". I could also use a rear gearbox (same as Hotshot, Boomerang etc.), as someone GLUED the halves together on mine.... WHO GLUES THE GEARBOX TOGETHER??? It's not a Airfix static model, for christssake.... There were so many strange things done to this Hotshot II that you wouldn't believe it.... You could try swapping places for the two halves of the rollcage, for starters, and the cage crossbars fits nicely in the cavities where the screws go. I never thought of that! Well, if it fits, it must be right, heh? So don't bother if the cage won't fit on the chassis, just drill some holes, and fix it with some wire..... I swear this was built by a 5 year old, without the manual! Paypal or trades will be good, as stated in the original post. |

Here it is how it looked like when I got it:
Pretty bad shape... tires rotten, body could be saved, but the repros are cheap. Wing missing, but bumper OK. One front a-arm was broken off, the rest had cracks at the "usual" place. One of the extenders for the monoshock was missing, and both uprights had cracks where the ball joints were screwed in. All four driveshafts, the sway bar and most of the small bits and pieces were OK. The cage was assembled completely wrong, but not broken in any way. Got the remains of the silver paint off, and it turned out nice. Notice the use of random screws, of all different sizes, all around. Most of the rear suspension was (surprisingly) OK, but the shock tower was broken. The red star shaped wheel holders were glued on to the rear wheels. Had to break them to get them off. But the glue used have misshaped the wheels, so they have to be replaced. Front wheels OK. The wheel holders for the front wheels are both cracked, as well. Shocks are in great shape, here fitted with new springs as the old ones were a bit rusty. The chassis, radio box and under tray were all beyond repair. The rear gearbox was, as said before, glued together. I managed to open it using a thin sharp knife, and with some DIY I managed to get the two pieces to fit nicely together again. Luckily I have lots of Hotshot, Supershot & Boomerang spares, including chassis, A-arms, wheels, screw bags etc, and a few bits and pieces are on the way from the bay. H.P. Freak have offered me the undertray, so not really much missing now. The shock tower and the star shaped wheel holders, mostly. |
