I am in need of a good radio system but I don't know which one of all the types I should choose. With my Dromida, which was an RTR complete kit, I got this cheap 2-channel wheel transmitter. I like it except for its distance between wheel and trigger being too great, this makes a one hand control difficult.
I then got a Tamiya Fine-spec, transmitter only, off ebay only to feel it. And I love it. It has just the right distance between trigger and wheel, but I think it has a little too stiff spring in its wheel, centering is very distinct and I'd like it softer. Also I miss a foam/rubber ring around the wheel that would make it so much more comfortable. To use any dual-stick control is not an option for me as I need to be able to drive and film at the same time. Thus I need a one hand control option that dual sticks don't offer. Also I'd like to ask you veterans; Tamiya's Finespec, Exspec, and Adspec, are they similar in handling? The wheels feel the same in stiffness and turns? - Thanks |

HITECH made a plane specific radio gear with 2 ways and only 1 stick. Like the first futabas radio. I bought one for the crystal.

Any reason why someone couldn't fix the a camera to the transmitter & drive two-handed via the viewfinder/screen?
Fixed zoom might be an issue, but if you're juggling a TX and camera at the same time I wouldn't imagine there would be much time for niceties like that anyway. Motion sickness might be an issue too |

Are the pistol-grip/wheel controls very different from each other in terms of wheel stiffness (spring tension), centering distinction, and turning radius? Can anybody with several wheel controllers please confirm?
I would like a soft dampened centering with a lesser radius, if available. Are the more expensive systems perhaps adjustable in these terms? I don't want to buy several only to try. |

I tried that with my phone and a stick transmitter too busy looking at the screen and crashed the car
Tried a wheel transmitter just about control the car with my left hand finger on the throttle and my thumb on the wheel and my phone in my right hand video using that method Neil |
