I understood metal chassis from Tamiya were Aluminium (A no magnetic metal) but on my vintage Mounty I can stick a magnet with ease (no, there's no steel bolt behind the frame.) So either Tamiya made it better in the 90's, or it's an aftermarket chassis.

The chassis rails are steel, the axles and gearbox are cast pot aluminium

I see, but in places they say that whole chassis is Aluminum

Box says channeled steel ladder frame. But its both a metal right
