I'm on way to perhaps win a Clodbuster, doubts:
did someone managed to run one by using just one motor/axle? can it acceptably pull the inert axle's gears? My idea is wiring it in such a way the 3 POS switch commands it like this : normal 4wd/Off/Regenerative cycle, AKA front axle generates current for the battery. Let's say a motor consumes 10, two motor consume 20, but if a motor could generate 7 (never would generate as much as it consumes) and the other motor is taking up 13 (with just one motor, it would suck more power) 13-7=6 so, instead of 20 it would just take 6 ¿Amps? from battery.

right now it is an msc setup, but my plan hinges on putting an ESC... obviously it would include putting ball bearings on it and perhaps different gear ratios on both axles (on a 4wd isn't a bad idea to put an slightly faster ratio forward than on the back, so front axle motor would spin slower than the rear one, making it mandatory to put an slight step up transformer before the battery, so it turns the 5v or so front axle would generate in 7.4v for the battery.

also, it could help is I put a 2.5v solar panel on the bed? Idea is step it to 7.5v via a transformer and a diode bridge,it could lend 300mAh of power to the battery, that together with front axle regeneration could allow it to run all day long...

But the matter is that when you will accumulate energy, you will have a counter torque on the front and eat a lotvof energy. For example, on a first generation Renault kangoo, the car has no engine break like with an automatic transmission in a thermic car. And with ZOE, when you leave the throttle pad, you have the engine break sensation du to the regeneration. |

Glad to see that the cat is out of the Top hat, in fact I'm just a madman with a blue box...
Well, basically a lot of people dis the perpetual motion machines because under our thermodynamic principles can't never work, but I took years chasing on a semi-perpetual motion machine concept, something that lasts way more that it's designed runtime by nibbling just every iota of energy available and depositing it on a battery. |
