Intelligence is certainly are characteristic of (most) cats...

I've put the litter box on the balcony with a cover over it.
One time the rain was quite heavy and made the grains all wet.
Sheilo didn't like that much and I caught him doing a #1 while standing in the toilet bowl!
With his front paws on the seat.

Never had a cat do that - but I had a couple who liked playing with/sharpening their claws on TP ... the trick is to have the loose end facing into the wall rather than out, so the roll goes round & round rather than unravelling


I've also observed that it doesn't matter what you give a cat for Christmas, it's always more interested in the paper & boxes other people's presents came in

My brother used to give his cat a roll of birthday toilet paper every year.
To relieve the primal energy...
