I was thinking last night about my favourite vehicles and why I like / love them. Here is my list
1) Monster Beetle - first vehicle I bought and built 26 years ago. 2) MO3 / MO5 Mini - for such a little car it handles beautifully 3) Astute 2WD off road - good out of the box and can be built even better. 4) Top Force 4WD off road - I just loved the off set wheels and the aggressive body 5) TA03RS - I was always a lover of Group B rally and the Lancia 037 was the last rear wheel drive to win the World Championship. What are your top 5 but more importantly why? Cheers vincenzo |

It's a good question ... my collection was knocking on the door of 100 vehicles & is now down to just over 40 & there's no reason to think the reduction won't have to continue (though hopefully at a much slower rate).
I'm in several minds about it - would my final five be the one off builds I've put the most time into? There's an argument for that, as they'd be the hardest to replace. "Best" for actual use? In which case it'd be very hard for me be without a Bigwig or Lunchbox (or Pumpkin). Or should it be the ones I feel the most nostalgic about? The most "iconic"?/technically interesting? Monetary value really doesn't come into it, but I think the rest factor in to a greater or lesser extent... my likely final five then: - Pajero wheelie/Bush Devil/Holiday Buggy based Fiat 80 series tractor: the most "fun" of my builds I think - Clod Buster: copes with snow & flooding better than any other truck - Willy's Wheeler: the only car I had in my youth that I'm still wearing rose-tinted glasses about - Super Champ: of all the cars I admired or aspired to in the past, this is probably the peak for me (but it's a close thing with the Bruiser); - Sand Rover: I just like the way a shiny one in a suitable colour works with the curves.

1. Tamiya Sand Scorcher - My first proper RC that started it all.
2. Kyosho Optima Mid - My first real "race spec" RC. 3. Tamiya Boomerang - The first RC I raced in a real competition. 4. Kyosho Tomahawk - Probably the RC I drooled most over as a kid, but didn't get until lately. 5. AYK 566B Super Trail - So simple, yet so advanced....

This is a tough one...
From the approximate 100 I've got, only keeping 5 would be a challenge... 1. 58040 Lancia Rally, I had it as young, but sold it too quickly due to the slow 380 motor... 2. 58028 Hilux, had it as young and played a lot with it. 3. 58001 Porsche 934, simply because it's the first. 4. 58059 Porsche 959, I'm a Porsche guy, and love the 959 chassis. 5. 58080 Astute. One of the first attempts by Tamiya for a competition buggy, I like it a lot. and at least a dozen more, but that's not allowed... -Lars Signature now gets correct formatting if you edit it in your Profile.
