I gave these Sand Rover ( also used in the F2 cars ) speed controllers a strip down, clean up and a bit of re-wiring. One of them has the upgraded circuit breaker because the original fuse was missing. One of these needed the wiper arm taken from another speed controller which wasn’t in the best of condition.

Nice resto job Al, they look great.

This body was actually built for my Kyosho FW06 chassis. Although designed for a 200mm body, I love the 5mm overhang on all 4 corners. Just have the mirrors yet to paint and install. Not quite painting weather here in New Hampshire but we are getting there...

Willy is ready to go on the dance floor. A small weathering is needed imo. But I like the result.

The ww2 is now ended. Light weathering with oil pastels on willy . Removed some decals on the body.

Today I made a on/off switch for rc lights and then covered it in plastidip.

Basicly you take a old servo and bin the case and gears.
Replace the motor wires with led wires and replace the potentiometer with two 2200 ohm resistors to center it.
Then you can use it on any 2 pos channel, preferly a adjustable one so you can set the endpoints..

I also took apart about 10 servos I got for free a couple of weeks ago.
As most was broken, they are the perfect victim to make light switches from.
Should have for a good bit now

The greasy gears got a WD40 bath to clean them up. Could come handy for some micro projects or broken servos...

Not everything went according to plan today....
My spray job got worse and worse today due things flying in the air due the wind.
My fixes just made it worse...

So an hour later in Dot 3 brake fluid and some scrubbing, I`m at square one....

Btw, cotton pads works wonders on fresh paint in Dot 3 fluid!
I used mostly a old tooth brush and the pads for the lines etc.

I need to buy more paint and I need a day without wind!
