In the very grainy picture attached the Super Champ has red RC bags and a normal FS plate.

I have only ever seen this picture on this website and it is very low res, does anyone have a better copy of it?

In the third picture you can see a white balloon in the RC Guide Book with a blank FS plate. 

Obviously for the general release the balloons were black ,but has anyone ever seen a released kit with red balloons?

I appear to have one in a kit I bought last year, this seems like a very rare item am I wrong? see below.


 

The picture with the red balloon is from the 1984 Guide Book (the one with the Grasshopper on the front). It's also used in the 1985 and -86 Guide Book.

Funny enough the 1983 Guide Book is the only Guide Book showing a clear/grey (or is it missing?) balloon.

The pictures used in the Guide Books are generally take of prototypes. There are lots of examples of models with anomalies in the pictures that never got into the production models.
I have not seen red balloons myself, but it's likely (based on the Guide Book pictures, and your kit) that some kits got red balloons at some point in time.
