I am Kishore, student of 3rd yr under-grad mechanical engineering. I am very new to RC and very interested in custom building RC off road vehicles and construction vehicles.I am learning from scratch about vehicle dynamics and designing off road.I have started Fusion 360 CAD software some time back and presently good enough in it. My approach is to model the off road Tamiya chasis and drivetrains, components in Fusion 360 and to use a 3d printer to print them, mainly because of unavailability of the models in my country and I kinda of like this approach. Anyone having the same view, we can work together.i would be glad to any of your suggestions/comments. Thank you

Thank you sir and should there be any changes in my approach or can i just stick to it. In the few days of my research I found this isn't a easy task...so how can i succeed more effictively...I am willing to work harder and what i need is a proper channel. Any suggestions?

Well, measurement should be at the basis so you'd either have to own a chassis or rely on the data of others.
Maybe starting at some parts that are rather hard to get would be a good beginning. I'd slightly change the design from the original so that they'll fall in the aftermarket segment rather than replica. Of course making possibly improvements would be even better...
