Good evening to all, name is Dave I'm from Bolton, and I'm currently rocking 3 TB-01's. One being a shelf queen, one having a shelf queen chassis and the other as a work in progress runner.
Had my runner since 2001, recently ventured to Traxxas and Hobao, but Tamiya is where the heart is. I'm a mechanical engineer by trade, and I play with little cars as the wife has banned me from having bigs ones lol Sent from my iPad Air using Tapatalk |

Welcome & enjoy. I had to give up the Japaneese turbo vehicles to keep mine happy but she allowed a couple of motorcycles to help keep the sanity. I've found RC drifting a really good alternative for when there's no time to ride & we have a huge driveway around the back of the house. Are really lucky as the son is a natural & taught me how to. Are running an old Losi XXXS G+ car & it's just as much fun as the boy's latest & greatest.
My other car is a Tamiya - bumper sticker on my van

I started with a dirt thrasher with drift rims going round in circles both ways in my spare time. You can get a steering gyro that does most of the work & looks good even if you can't drift.

If you can invest in a set of 12mm hex drift wheels with ABS tires they'll last forever & fit any Tamiya 4wd 1/10 vehicle. I know the PVC tires can be cheaper but IMHO they don't work as well & last as long. I've still got the original set I learnt with a brushed motor & ESC. Have since changed to using Tamiya slicks but that is something for when you're comfortable with the hard tires. My other car is a Tamiya - bumper sticker on my van
