That's not an idiot question. Yes they share the same body mount. The Ford Ranger's one is a little different.

Sorry, Flo, but the front body mounts for SS and RR are different.
The SS has a much longer front body mount than the RR. The rear are the same. Signature now gets correct formatting if you edit it in your Profile. Use normal BBcode if you want.

OMG sorry. I though that only the ranger was longer. So ss and ranger are the same and the rr is shorter?

It's more complicated than that ... the vintage Rough Rider ("M10 Front Post" in the manual parts list) is also used as a base for the vintage Sand Scorcher and (vintage) F150 Ranger, each having a different (shape and length) extension part - "M46 Front Post Bracket" for th Scorcher, and "Body Mount A" for the Ranger. The vintage Super Champ front post has nothing in common with the other SRBs. An added complication is that the extension for the Sand Scorcher comes in mk.1 and mk.2 flavours (or early and late, if you prefer) - the former having a slot all the way round for the body clip, the latter having a hole.
Re-release Buggy Champ ("BJ7 Front Post"/part # 13405003) looks (in the manuals at least) to be identical to the vintage Rough Rider "M10 Front Post". The re-release Sand Scorcher, unlike the vintage version, uses a one-piece front post, visually at least, the overall outside dimensions are the same as the two-piece vintage post (when joined). There is no re-release Ranger (yet), and the re-releaseFighting Buggy front post looks identical to the vintage Super Champ part. I think that's all the permutations |
