Hi all

We are preparing an extraordinary 2025 edition over 4 days. YES!!! 4 DAYS OF MODEL MADNESS.
May 8th to May 11th 2025

We open our tracks to vintage vehicles -500 BC to 2000 TT and track of course. And it will also be possible to come and drive with re-editions and vehicles from artisanal manufacture via 3D printers and other processes, which allow us to continue to drive our old cars or those of creators (prototypes). The goal was to go back to the first fundamentals, when we bought kits in boxes 70% finished where we always had to take out the D system box so that it could run!

We also prepare a welcome worthy of the name with the possibility of sleeping on site with your tent or motorhome. We will have a shower at your disposal. For the meal part, we will prepare accessible menus (7/8 euros) for lunch and dinner, as well as sandwiches, chips, ....
We will also have our traditional Saturday evening meal!

All this in an 80's and 90's atmosphere with surprise animations that will await you throughout this event. A registration form will be made available to you via a link, more info to come!

My pancar RC 1/12 chassis was designed with this event in mind, and the files are now available on MakerWorld (free files)

makerworld.com/...ls/1086493

How about a small one-design formula race ?

Proposed rules:
    ST-1 or EF-209 running gear
ST-1 or EF-209 differential transmission printed
Drawing/Material, Free Stretcher Plate - Key Indications Available on the MakerWorld Page
540 Silver Can Engine, Free Sprocket
Free electronics, Lipo 2S (HV or not)
wheels choice is free  (Hex 12, Center Hole of 10)
And most importantly: vintage Repro Endurance-type bodywork (tray or closed), welcome LEDs
    No transponder required
The question is asked! To your printers (NB: manual in French available on Makerworld)!!
(and don't hesitate to share the progress of your projects right here!)

NB: question asked with the agreement of the organizers and the confirmation that a race will take place if there are enough of us!

And the registrations to the event are now opened...
You can access the inscription document on the event's facebook page : www.facebook.co...7091435232
They also have created a website where you can find some vids and pictures of previous event lamontluconnaise.fr/

All of this is in french, but in the case of any doubts, don't hesitate to ask here, I'll try to help. I'm not part of the organization team neither from the club, but I'm in contact with them.

Back from the event yesterday... It was great, and I have a few elements to sort out : in particular pics, vids, and getting the vids from my cars that my friends took while I was getting nice runs with them...

I will have to properly write about it but it was a very nice event... And awaiting the pics/vids being sorted out, a few take aways :
  • the offroad track was super pleasant this year, and for both 1/8 GP and 1/10 EP cars, with a very nice and vintage dirt, which looked like a mid eighties offroad track and definitely not a modern one
  • few cars had their first runs there : Racing Buggy, Zerda 2GT, Optima Mid 60th, Pancar 1/12 in Vaillante (Fiber chassis, Kyosho shaft) and Leader (Kydex chassis, M3 threaded rod shaft), with different tires, allowing for a clear validation of the chassis, with a lot of run time, and even some validation by pilot who tried the cars
  • There was a guy, there, his pit table was fully old school mode, up to the batteries charging and discharging pod- And none of us were as vintage spirit than he was, even the GP old school guys :-)...
  • The Zerda 2GT is great on the track, and it did not belt slip :-)
  • The 380 RS well geared is a quick as a 540 silver can and the Racing Buggy was way quicker than I expected
  • The Fantom tires are really suitable for my pancars. The TPU 60A may still have interest for drifters while the EVA Foam may be very interesting if we find the proper density (what I had until now was way too hard
  • We race a bit, for the fun. Got my first victory with my pancar 1/12 EF-209. Also finished 2nd with the Turbo Scorpion during the Offroad electric race
  • stress test on the PETG pancar 1/12 differential has been surprisingly good - 1 hour and a half continuous run and no broken diff.
  • I broke a nylon printed differential on the second pancar. I'll have to make some check, but I believe there was two element caused the problem : the ESC was not set in F/B/R but F/R, and the motor pinion was not tighten enough which made it more difficult
  • Beside a broken diff, the Optima mid ESC died before I made the fourth run with the car. The on/off button appears dead, and I will probably have to replace this ESC.
  • And there is so much more to say, but first I need to sort pics and vids...
