A Member send 2 different emails. 1 year 3 months ago #80847

Ever since I posted my WANTED topic for the TA-04SS D part on the forum, a member named Chronopile messaged me privately claiming to have it. He then shared his email so we could chat about it. Of course, we discussed the price and the other stuff, and I then used PayPal for safety which they given me there wifes email to sent. However, PayPal flagged the transaction as a scam, so I told him it wouldn’t let me send the payment. He then suggested I use a money order, which I declined. After that, he went silent for almost a week. Now, he’s messaged me again claiming to have the part again, but this time, they sented me a completely different email address, which feels even more suspicious. I didn’t respond and delete it (which I now think I shouldn't have).Has anyone else dealt with this person?

Multiple so many red flags - you are exceptionally lucky to have got away without losing your money the first time.

How would the same modus operandi a week later (and, apperently, their poor memory and/or poor record keeping) make you think they are any more trustworthy this time?

I didn’t trust them the first time, and the second message just confirmed it was a scam. A new email, asking for a money order, and no proof photos (forgot to say that) - too many red flags. I never sent any money and deleted the message right away. I only kept chatting to see how far they’d push it. Just wanted to warn others so no one else gets caught.
