Hi All,
I just wanted to share a build I have been working on for awhile now.

Ever since my first TA03F (with McRae's WRC body) my parents managed to buy for me in 1998 I have wanted the David Jun edition. I manage to find a NIB one for a reasonable price recently and as i had a Novak Tempest laying around i had the thought of making a copy of his 1996 car out of it. But as the black moulding is very rare and his car still used the grey moulding I decided to make a tribute out of another regular Pro I had and build the David Jun as per Tamiya’s catalogue. but as he had done imo cooler mods( like trimming the plastic chassis parks to remove weight) to the 1997 car so thats what i decided to build.

I have tried to use the same parts he did but some of them like the Batteries and body had to be substituted as they are quite hard to come by now (at least here in Aus)

3PJ tansmitter. Body is the same as he used for the 1996 NORRCA race, ProMarkt-Zakspeed AMG Mercedes. I've not been able to find a Protoform Volvo S40 yet and i like the look of the Tamiya body more.

A couple more pieces have arrived, very close to finished now.
Just need to find Tech Racing Offset Axles (TA03R rear axles are too wide) and some Jaco/Proline Green tyres (dont have much hope for these though).

A set of Cross 2deg caster blocks (scored the whole set f&r - arms, uprights and hubs) next to a slightly worn Pro item :)

Kose Shims

Some counter sunk Ti screws.

i dont know why they are dull compared to the Ti button heads.

test fitting, these red shims are very thin. going to be a pain.

The titanium screws vary a lot with finish. I've got packs of screws same part numbers and some dull some bright.
