I was a bit disappointed by what I consider a rather 'outdated' implementation of the Anniversary model. Furthermore, I find the engine design to be overly complicated. However, I did want to carry over the suspension.
So I had the idea to take the FF-04 motor unit, flip it around, and use it as a rear-wheel drive setup with the motor positioned behind the axle. The carbon plate shown here is still too narrow and is for illustration purposes only.

I like where this is going!
Can`t say the Tamiya chassis is doing anything for me either...

Actually, the Tamiya developers could have made it very easy for themselves by simply flipping and shortening the FF04 for the 50th Anniversary model. But the outcry would probably have been huge.I think the basic concepts of the FF04 and XV01 are just brilliant, and I immediately saw the potential for an RR-Racer there. Chassis name: RR01.
