I got these two dirty Foxes that I have taken apart and cleaned, and with a couple of exeptions most parts are good enough to use. One side of one of the gearboxes was cracked, and one gearbox actually was missing the differential. I know that the re-re NovaFox gearboxes uses E-clips instead of C-clips to secure the outdrives, but are the plastic gearbox halves the same on the Fox and the NovaFox? What about the differentials? What I can find from looking at the manuals, they look the same. Can anyone confirm this?

I have a fox with has been more or less rebuilt. The gearbox looks to be identical. Knuckles and shafts are différents. The difference is the same. On the rere you have classic shafts and specifics knuckles

Have a look at Seidel, his Info's on the spare as usually very good. Maybe it list both fox and Nova fox on the gearbox.

I'll take my chances and order a Novafox diff. I'll post here to tell if it fits or not. Could be good to know if any others are wondering about the same

I'll use the vintage parts for the shelfer*, and the re-re pars for the runner.

*I say "shelfer" and not "shelf queen", as I really like it when my display models shows they have been used, but clean and without any broken parts, of course.

I am sure that I have a rere diff in my second fox because I have rere spares (shown in the pict).
