Ferrari F1 Restoration (20 year old Kit?) 10 years 5 months ago #38859

So restoration of this will start today. other than the body the rest of the parts seem pretty much cleanable.
The Dynatech 02H will not power this because it is TOO much for it. I remember when my neighbour used to run it. it was literally uncontrollable. Most probably I will go with a sport tuned on this.

It looks like the 58142 F103 Ferrari 412T1 ?

The body seems a little different. Will start working on it this afternoon after I receive my manta ray and will update both threads.

a days work completed.
Now wait for payday to get more parts.
body is relatively too expensive. I was told that the car restored is worth around 100pounds. if the body is around 50-100usd then I think it's too much.
given that the rear tires only are another 25 euros (ok messed up with currencies here lol! )
The front bearings..are those stock bronze bearings.. just cleaned them up with silicone spray and reinstalled. removed some rust on the main drive shaft and installed the silver can that came with my Manta ray.
For a days work and with what I had I'm satisfied.
I also did the dynatech 02H so ... everything is slowly coming back

:) You can see on stellamodels.net for your F1 body and tires. I am sure that you could find some extras too.
Send me a PM with your address for the manta ray body. ;)
