A new problem has presented itself since get my Wild Willy M38 LWB back on the road.
The WW is top heavy and very easy to roll with a little too hard of a turn. Back in the day I had a gravel driveway. A roll on the WW did minimal damage to the corners of the roll bars. Now I have only concrete and asphalt to run my WW on. A roll now does considerable damage to the corners of the roll bars. Am concerned the corners will grind down to the metal over time. Has anyone seen a clever way to protect these roll bars from damage without permanently altering them? Thanks |

Slow down before turning?
Seriously, if you're throwing it down the road that often you need to slow down, drive elsewhere (like a lawn), or drive something else. If you want the wheelies, Lunchboxes are cheap & spares plentiful, if it has to look like a Jeep, the Wild Willy 2 (M151) has been around for a long time & there's no problem with spares, or maybe you need something with a lower CoG & longer wheelbase You could always fit a rollcage & windscreen from the WW2 to save your vintage parts - they're not the same but they fit & look close enough.

Or, like me, don't drive them at all
Seriously, maybe you could fit insulation foam, if you can find something in the correct dimensions? Signature now gets correct formatting if you edit it in your Profile. Use normal BBcode if you want.
