Hi !
I was lucky and I bought on the net an Astute in a very correct state I assessed situation after a complete dismantling of the car The fiber chassis is as nine, the body is in excellent state and the wingr is in a less good state: one of its side was re-adhered. There is no undercowl. The perceptible and fragile parts of Astute (Parts C and D) are in a state of wear normal for a car of more than 20 years: D1 parts which disintegrate, D5 part has one of the 2 fixing holes of the Front damper stay split and one of the two C3 part has a kneecap fixing hole of kneecap which misses I had lucky and I found on the net C and D parts in really low price lists The yellow origin dampers are present but equipped with fixation collars of springs typical Manta Ray and not usual spacers. Wheel are not of origin, but they are very beautiful and especially in excellent state. I thus decided to keep them and to take size on them tires with small pavement (origin Kyosho). The kinematics is completely operational : differential cleaned and as nine, not marked gear box joints, presence of universal shafts (pleasant surprise) and the rest of spurs, gears in a very good state. To be complete I ordered a lexan set (body, wing and undercowl), décals and some small parts. The photo below shows the state of car progress car when I received the ordered parts [/img] Chassis equipped with the steering servo, with the equipped Front damper stay , 2 batteries guides and of 2 of 3 small rear columns (the third serves only if you install speed control servo) The full Astute front part is installed on the Chassis (front stabilizer rod included) with the steering kinematics of command( (with 4 optional bearing : tamiya reference 850) Assembly of the rear cell completes with arms ,Pink Actuo Power motor and Rear damper stay The frame is now almost ended with the complte rear part of the back part : of universal shafts, gear box joints, wheel axes,.. |

Part 2
Implementation of electronics, support of aileron and red dampers (the ones which were supplied me on my Javelin réré). They are available further to the installation of Gold. They are red, they are beautiful and they go marvelously on this Astute (of good red dress on) After cut and installation of the Undercowl and 4 wheels Part 2 end |

Part 3
I went up on the car the original body to have an idea of finished Astute The new body was cut and drilled as well as the new wing I mounted it to verify that nothing touches and rubs To day I still wait for the board of repros décals, more for some little parts then for paint and deco. Pascal |

Great build, Pascal!
What color have you chosen for the body? Signature now gets correct formatting if you edit it in your Profile. Use normal BBcode if you want.
