Hi there.

I would like to revive my brothers Tamiya RC. It's a Subaru Brat.

Firstly, I have the original Acoms 227 controller but it's missing the Crystal. I need a Band 3 (Orange) plug-in crystal. Does anyone know where I can get one from?

Secondly. I'd need to somehow get a new battery. The old one is missing and I think it was faulty anyway. Could anyone advise me on a replacement battery + charger? I guess it would need to fit inside the chassis as the old one did.

Then lastly to what I can see, I think the wheel bearings have work out. They are the original nylon ones. The wheels seem to be pretty sloppy. Are these available?

I'd suggest an upgrade to metal bearings, e.g. www.rcbearings....earch=brat - there's a discount code at tamiyabase.com/...r-benefits .

ebay will be be the best bet for crystals.

I would usually recommend www.vapextech.co.uk for batteries, but they seem to be having stock issues ATM.
Instead take a look at this .

You will need a suitable charger for that battery, an old Ni-Cad charger is unlikely to charge it safely. I'd always recommend the Imax B6 charger because although it's fussy and needs a 12v DC supply, it can charge pretty much any type of battery.

Jonny said all! Especially for the charger. I took his advice about the imax b6. And I al able to charge all my batteries same my 1:1pb car batteries.
