I thought I’d document this just to see where it goes.
So I bought a couple of old ORV chassis’ intending to build an ORV Scorcher.

Which is this one here, I believe it was originally a Brat based on the gear box internals.

So having bought a bunch of fixings and some new bits as well as having some other bits and pieces in the spares boxes I figured I’d build The Frog.

Here’s the starting point.

And the strip down.

Initial cleaning.

Issues so far, the PO added some bigger springs used on the rear dampers. So I’ve ordered the correct ones from TTP. One of the front uprights has got a bolt going right through it and it won’t come apart. It should be attached with a step screw top and bottom.
I think the hardest part to get hold of will be the metal bracket to hold the resistors onto the gear box, which is annoying because there was one on eBay for ages and now its finally gone. But that’s a problem for another day.
Does anyone think the dog bones are aftermarket or just very worn ?
Hopefully with some time off over Christmas I might be able to start building???

For me dogbones seem to have been painted and a little abused🤣

I don’t think they’ve been painted. Possibly abused, but fitment into the output shafts is tight.

I've seen those fatties before, but don't remember them being white. Can't seem to find them with a search :(

These are the original dogbones, from a Frog project.
