Tamiya 49441 Aluminum Upright M-03 fitting question
Hi I am trying to fit a pair of Tamiya 49441 Aluminum Upright to an M-03. I have noticed the M-03R Hop Up upright is not as high as the standard B9 upright part. Its about 2mm short. What I have noticed from the M-03R manual is the B1 part it fits into is slightly smaller. The only alternative I can see is to fit a 2mm spacer either top or bottom (too hard for my old hands). Has anyone else ever encountered this problem? Also does anyone have a downloadable copy of the 49441 fitting manual as this may shed some light? Thank you in advance. |

M03 uses same upright as TL01.
The aluminium one seems way short fitting between the C-hub. If you are looking for uprights with the steering arm fitted up high, the M05 uses that type. It also has same spacing between the C-hub as TL01. I know as I using M05 uprights on my shortned TL01 with Escort Mk2 body. I have a thread about it in the project section. Aluminium one for the M05 are 54253. |

Thanks for reply.
A member has said i need M-03M part number 51328 as they are smaller. Unfortunately a discontinued part. So would the M-03R Upright fit directly into an M-05 c-cub with no other parts required? |
