Further analysis followed... Looked at the NIB parts, and apparently, the top suspension arms hook plate is not made like I thought it was made : likely, it has been done in one single step on a hydraulic press (lead : deformation around holes). It's not as precise as CNC work, and it's very much possible that what I can measure on the part is different than intended, which may explain it's not perpendicular at that point...

I did the assembly of the hubs and wheels

Anyway, I'm still undecided about the rear arms: Ultimately, and taking consideration for the fact that the metal plate is what is likely to be original on any build rather than the arms, I'll review both rear arms to get that lining up with the front hook up point of the top arms, so we will have options... Thinking more abut it, I could even include some toe in (spoiler : initially there is no toe in), although I know by experience with the 44B that it is not mandatory to have a car following a defined path properly...

This morning, I model the shocks... 4 identical shocks...

Not much remain to model :
- Wing support parts
- Wing
- Bodyshell

The NIB I have in hands have one element missing : the sticker sheet. There is just a Mantua Model stickers sheet within the box.

The design of those stickers is quite simple, however, and we should be able to reproduce those easily with some pictures of the body with the stickers and the measurements of the squares and lanes on the wing... Should be easy, and I asked my friend Johann if he can help for this...

Anyway, I hope to be able to rebuild the non NIB model soon...

The bodyshell has a quite simple structure. That combined with the experiences I made with both solid and surfacique mode of Fusion 360, I decided to take a slightly different approach than for most of my previous bodyshell model in the past...

I modeled first a mold, based on measurements taken from the inside of the bodyshell.
Once finished, I tried the shell command, and it did not work, and it doesn't matter, because that's not what I wanted to obtain.
I had my mold done, so what about creating a bodyshell from that : it's plain simple! Unstitched the bottom surface from a mold and you get the bodyshell internal surface.
Thicken it from outside and you get the bodyshell!!!

I still need to trim the body but it works nicely on the chassis

Trimed the body, and it is now good...

No modification required, anything was going where it was supposed to be :-)

Added the shocks next... (con)fusion360 still doesn't like when there is too much joints, so the whole thing is non functional... But all key parts are in...

I think it is time to start next steps for the car to rebuild...

This morning spent about 10 minutes to review the wing... Using the same principle as for the body, I got a perfect wing.

And although those are still things you can get at Mantua Models shop, I can make molds if required

And as this approaches opens new possibilities, I believe I can now resume work on the missing body for 44B. The second iteration was good, but I believe I can do better... So this will be part of my next activities
