Just managed to pick one of these kits up unbuilt from a friend who never got around to building it as i fancied something a little different. I have everything i need apart from the battery which was a specific 6 cell 7.2v pack like a normal stick pack but built to fit the micro chassis if anyone has one to sell id be interested or if anyone knows how i can get one made up id appreciate the advice

Thats a great idea stingray
www.ebay.co.uk/...1438.l2649 I know the Tamiya max climber version has a different layout for the battery mounting see pic below im just wondering if this could be adapted to fit the rockbuster. the rockbuster design seems a little stupid just adds more expense to the build but then again it is a Tamiya |

if you're any good with a soldering iron, its not so hard
making your own
accu packs.
I think there is also a UK based online shop that makes all kinds of battery pack configs, the other TB guru's may remember the name of the shop. (cant come up with it right now) |

I never made a good soldering to make my own sticks. I had the same matter with my BRP but the différents types of rx batteries help me and I had a pyramidal stick. |

Battery plate for the RockBuster is not too difficult to make. I made one of 52x150mm fiberglass.
Zip ties were uses to attach it to the lower rear chassis crossmember and it just rested on the motor mount in the front. It could easily have been be made prettier, but I used long screws poking out from the sides of the chassis and attached the battery with strong rubber bands. |
