Looking at my catalogue collection I find I need to add some more now to bring it up to date:

I am looking to buy 2005, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014.

Also I have all of them from 1973, plus one very early one with no year on it.
Does anyone know if '72/73 was the earliest full line catalogue or did they do any before this?

thanks
M

Your undated one is probably either 1972 or 1971 depending on what's on the cover ( link ) ... I'm still looking for a 1971 copy at a decent price, but I'm yet to see one for sale at all :( There is earlier material, but not AFAIK showing the full range, and not in the usual format.

I have a spare 2007, I don't know how fussy you are about condition, it's not perfect by any means but I'd say it's got to be worth a fiver + post. eBay is really your best bet for finding the rest :)

You won't find a 2008 catalogue though, Tamiya just didn't publish one. Production resumed for 2009 ... 2010, 2011, 2012 & 2013 are still the regular size, but Tamiya switched to "perfect" binding (flat spines, not folded).

I haven't seen a 2014 catalogue yet, based on past performance I wouldn't expect to see it this early in the year

:) Thanks v.much for that info/advice Jonny Retro, that is very helpful inf.

It looks like my earliest catalogue is a 72, therefore I will add the 71 to my search list.

Thanks and it has saved me a bit of pain and embarrassment knowing that 2008 they didn't do one.

The Link to the Tamiya catalogues is also a great help.

I will look into my R/C Guide books next (see what I've got and what I haven't got), although I noticed for the last 4 years they have changed the format of these to bi-annual and wide format print.

I appreciate your input, thanks again.

I had a look at home and I have '72 onwards.

That means I'm looking for a '71 cataglogue - which is going to be tricky.
