Wanted: Old Graupner branded electronics 10 years 10 months ago #36207

Hi.
I'm trying to recreate another of my childhood memories.

As a kid here in Norway, one of the highlights of the year was when the new Graupner catalogs were released. Man, those catalogs were big. They also cost a fortune, so we kids actually had to save up money to buy them. The first thing I looked for when I got a new catalog was what new cars were in, and what cars were out. And one of the cars that got stuck on my mind was the red (Kyosho) Scorpion shown in the catalog. I had seen the Scorpion before, in a Kyosho catalog, but the red Graupner version was just sooo cool. I had just bought the Tamiya Sand Scorcher, so the Scorpion was out of the question, altogether, Remember I was a kid, and my mother had a big say in what I spent my money on.

I hadn't seen that red Scorpion for years, when I suddenly found a pdf with a scanned Graupner mini-catalog (not the large ones I remember), and what do you know.... there it was. So I decided to recreate that red Graupner Scorpion.

I do have most of the parts for it, so that's not what I'm looking for, but I was hoping to equip it with Graupner electronics as well. Already back then Graupner sold rebranded JR, Grundig(!) and other makes of radio equipment, and it is this stuff I'm looking for.

I'm mainly looking for Graupner branded JR stuff, but anything will do, as long as it's from the mid 80's(ish), and have the name GRAUPNER on it.

I need:
1 receiver 2 channel, Graupner branded
1 standard servo, Graupner branded
1 electronic speed controller, Graupner branded, eg. the Graupner/JR Car-Profi 25 (see pic), but any old Graupner branded ESC will do.

You can see the Graupner Red Scorpion here: www.studio68.no...?id=1610v2

I hope someone can help me obtaining these parts.
Thank you.
Tom

Great!
Could you post some pictures of those? You shouldn't happen to have a old 40mhz Graupner/JR transmitter?
