my transmitter in my wild one glitches.
when i ma driving, the reciever stops working and i can't steer and it goes full speed.
lrp super ai digital reverse esc
hobbyking 6ch transmitter and reciever 2.4ghz
all help will be apreciated
i have fixed the problem, my reciever was faulty
i have now changed it to my spare one
That's not a glitch, that's a complete loss of control ...

Question though - is it going to full speed _after_ you lose control, or is it going to full speed that causes the loss of control?

If it's the latter I'm thinking your battery is not up to the job, and the current drawn by going to full speed causes the voltage to drop below what your RX needs to operate ... cheapest way to test that would be to power the RX independantly with 4 AA batteries :)

See if the red light on the transmitter is still on next time it does it - likely to be a dodgy on/off switch, or more likely poor contact between the transmitter batteries & their terminals. If it's a radio set with a proper shiny aerial, it could also be the aerial mount has broken/cracked off the board (If it's been dropped or aerial has been knocked against something) or a poor aerial lead connection inside if it's a 2.4GHz set. Might also be possible that the Rx aerial lead has broken off the Rx board. You could fit a 'failsafe' unit to the throttle channel on the Rx, just to prove it (The car would then just stop if it's a radio related fault)

Another thought - some modern radios have a failsafe actually built in - power everything up, hold full throttle, & just turn the transmitter off & see what the car does (Obviously do this with the wheels off the ground!) - if the motor stops, the failsafe is built in. If it keeps going, look for the faults described in my previous post. If it turns out the Rx has a built in failsafe, the you need to be looking for a fault with the power supply lead from the ESC to the RX (The red/black/white ESC wire), maybe a dodgy on/off switch, loose connections, wire broken in the plug or off the ESC/Rx boards

The Lrp ESC is filled with different protective measures and failsafes so I would also think the problem is in the fact that Tx/Rx are sharing the wrong information - for a still to be identified reason.
If it were a proper glitch, I'd think the ESC should catch it.

We should really ask what Hobbyking radio it is - 27MHz am is prone to picking up stray instructions from other local handsets on the same frequency & I know for a fact that the LRP AI doesn't see that as a fault worth shutting down over. HK do a 6ch 2.4GHz set which the user has to program on a PC for servo throw/direction etc, maybe the problem could be here... I reason I went for radio loss problems is he's saying the steering stops working at the same time; sort of suggests that either the Rx has lost instruction & is carrying on doing what it was last told to do, OR it's being told to lock the steering & give the ESC full beans... hang on, what about if there's a naff FET in the ESC? - a shorted FET would give full throttle without any instruction from the Rx & maybe the internal short would shut the logic down (Fault condition) hence stopping BEC output (No power to Rx)hence the loss of steering...

LRP AI doesn't see that as a fault worth shutting down over

That is good to know, altough I wouldn't choose 27 MHz myself...

And I agree it's either a broken ESC or a signal interference.
If the Lrp is functional at startup then I think the second issue is more likely.
The problem seems to be similar to a runaway that tends to happen when one is using an MSC.

Should be interesting to see what the specs on the Tx are...

What also comes to mind as a possible vulnerability are the batteries that are used in the transmitter.
I've had problems with this myself in earlier times.
Nowadays I try to stick with Sanyo Eneloop or Powerex Imedion.
The chance of them being empty after a few weeks is also reduced with these.

Edit :

Was also comes to mind

Was ist los? That's not English!

going back to the possibility of FET issues in the ESC, does anyone know how ESCs behave when they get upset about faulty/wrong value/lack of suppressors on the motor? Yet another thought, could a steering servo electronics fault cause a full throttle command from the Rx to the ESC? (I've seen it when a duff servo causes other servos to jitter or go full throw, but I wonder if an ESC would see that as a fault & just shut down?). Yep, with all the cheap chinese toys out there nowadays, I agree, 27MHz really is a bad idea. However,it would cost me a small fortune now to replace all my 27MHz with 2.4GHz, so, I put up with it....

sometimes it goes full speed after it cuts out
