Some needed parts to complete my recent Dyna Storm acquisition, and finally found a Boomerang Jr. (sadly, no box - I'll keep looking!)

A Daytona Thunder project, looks to be just a few bits missing. Since there's no body and likely impossible to find, I think I'll make an exception from box art and do a DoT 51 car tribute, using a Mcallister Chevy Lumina body and MCI Mellow Yellow stickers.

Nice one Todd. Put an eye on parma for the body. They did the body for the daytona and a lexan cutlass body for a tamtech lwb. The mellow yellow is a very good choice. I have some spares if you need.

Surprised this arrived already, but still a little bummed there's no sticker sheet.

So I’ve finally done it, I’ve bought every RC car I had in the early 80’s. I didn’t set out to do this at the start in 2015 when I got back into Tamiya when I bought a Sand Rover, which was my first Tamiya ( 1983 ?  ).
Buying this Wild Willy means I now have all my original cars back.
That would be the Sand Rover, Ferrari 312T3, Ford Ranger SRB, Wild Willy, Porsche 935 and Hotshot ( luckily I kept that one ).

Anyway this Wild Willy, it’s the LWB version and it looks like everything is there except for the winch and his visor. I’ve never seen a visor for this, so I’m not going to worry about it now. I think I’ve got a winch in a spares box. Another plus is the body hasn’t been painted, which makes a nice change. I’m usually reaching for a can of graffiti remover at this point.
So my Christmas project has arrived. As per usual I’ll be tearing the chassis down and cleaning everything as best I can. I’m really hoping now that I’m working f or myself I’ll actually be able to find some time to do some bodywork at some point next year.
Who am I kidding 😂.

Also in the post were these,

Spare tyres for the Cheetah.
It’s my wife’s birthday and these got mixed up with some other boxes, so for the last week I thought that I’d lost these tyres. I got them for a good price because no one seemed interested. So big sigh of relief that a. I found them and b. I didn’t wrap them up and give them to my wife !!!
Cheers.

The XJR-12 is partially built with unpainted body and decal sheet intact. With this acquisition, I will now have a Group C chassis in all the available colors
