They are the same wheels? they look amazing :y:

They certainly are :) I have learnt some good techniques for removing paint without damaging the base plastic :)

Would you share your secret of how? :)

It depends on the type of paint and the material, But for these I used Nitro fuel with a cotton bud then a clean lint free clothes to wipe any residue ;)
If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem mate :)

My wife's christmas gift. I had problems with the clear coat. It was flat like a old car. Now it is glossy. I am really happy.

OK,
So over the holidays I also received a box from my friends at Team Blue Groove! Aren't Canadians great !! ;) ;)
I had sent them a vintage Parma McLaren body I have been saving for many years so they could copy it and when they were going to send back my new copy ( the originals don't survive sometimes) I also ordered a couple of other bodies for some projects. One was a new body for my Astute!
I have been wanting to change the ugly original body for a new one so I when right to work, trimmed it and washed it up, I used MCI masks for the windows, my first time with them and I must say they worked great, had to trim just a little bit but very easy and great results. I am into my last jar of Pactra Racing Red on this one, just an awesome color. I really don't know what I am going to do when I run out of the Pactra paint it is all I have ever used for PC bodies, guess I will switch to Tamiya but I will miss the airbrush ability of the Pactra.
I haven't started cutting decals for yet but could not resist sharing a picture in just the red!

Looks so good I almost don't want to decal it :) well almost

I will add more pics when it is done. :)

And the bonus question....... what is going on in this picture??

Woohoo.... it is very nice. The astute is a nice chassis. It is not an upgraded madcap?

Sorry my friend, not a Madcap, although they are related I guess....B)

Any other guesses???

I will try and get the decals on soon and more pictures posted. :y:

Also beautiful job on the Revell Camaro! I am currently working on the Trumpeter GT40 and I completely understand the reviews it has received, it is a bit of a let down for such a newly tooled kit. I am sure it will be presentable in the end but a Tamiya 1/12 kit it is not :(
