Nice one Flo cheers.
I really like the colour, but I’d have painted the red chassis parts.
I know the box art - red and black works.
But I don’t like the original yellow wheels.

Thanks for posting the pics.
I think I’ll start the resto as box art - so keep the chassis as per the manual.

But when I get to the body, I just don’t know what I’m going to do. But I don’t need to worry about this yet.

Thanks Al, yup, that's it in a nut shell alright. Sounds like you have plenty of projects for the future. I love my Wild One (re-re), One of my favorite chassis.

Nice BF Flo! I think one of the things that drew my to the King BF was those sweet red wheels as well as the fleetside body. Yellow seems to be a mainstay for Tamiya though, just bought wheels for my Mudblaster and they are yellow ( I think they are BF wheels!)

I bought this bf as it is and another one to restore it. The second chassis was crp options equipped, that I put on the first chassis.
I like the color but monster decals are ugly. And the patina has been made with several clear coats. I don't know how to remove all this paint. That's automotive paints.

My VQS 58686 has finally arrived!!!!Very happy to be setting up this build as it will be a runner. Never fortunate enough to have an original but this one looks pretty close to the 1988 version. Here's a few pics guys:
