While waiting for the parts for my truck, I started painting the cab parts and installed it.
The roof spoiler and side panels can't be fitted because of the crane.

Nice one Manatees - looks like a good project.

I finished the gearbox build and got the assembly into the chassis today. Also attached some of the chrome bits and mudflap.

The body is just siting on the chassis rails - I wanted to get an idea of how the colour will look with the other parts.

Nice one Manatees

I'm the vanishing Manatee   Okay, I've put on a little weight, but still...ha ha ha

Joking aside: The color is lovely. In your first photo I saw it as more of a gray, but now it seems to be a purple-gray.
Maybe it's the photo that does it, but I must admit I really like it.
Are you going to put the original stickers on it?

There is my dad's king hauler with the kangaroo bumper and the roof wing. It has the first gen lights with the rear switches bar and the trailer has the electric legs. The front rims are gpm aloys rims. Full bearings and the first gen sound set.

Oops - so sorry Manotas .. it's the stupid auto speller / corrector. I didn't notice that is had changed the spelling. LOL

The colour is Tamiya TS-58 Pearl Light Blue.

I watched a build video on YT and the person used this colour , so I thought I'd try it too.

Started the lighting for the Globe Liner build - had to solder extensions for the rear lights and indicators . Also teamed up the wiring for the head and fog lights , so they will all come on at once.
Tomorrow , more wiring FUN ... I'm going to sort out some running lights , and maybe some interior lights.

These cheap lighting units a pretty good for the money - well worth the purchase.   When you don't have the radio switched on these go in a "display" mode flash sequence .. that's what happening,  here so I can test my less that great soldering skills ..
