I thought I’d push this thread on a bit.

So the 2026 Nuremberg toy fair is in full swing and there may have been some excitement yesterday or just plain disappointed.

I don’t know what everyone thinks, but we are getting an interesting ? new chassis for the 50th anniversary Porsche 934.
I think a lot of people myself included hoped they would use the hard body from the 1-12 kit, but that is not to be.

We get the Ford Ranger 150 XLT, the last of the SRB re-releases. I think this should go down well and as it had a “ 58 “ model number fingers crossed it will be in production for a while and we don’t need to rush out to buy it.

Something for Richard a Zakspeed Capri on the TT-02 chassis. They’re are quite a few new releases on the TT-02 chassis coming out.

The mini Monte Carlo is coming back out as well on the M-05 chassis I think. This I’ve seen priced at about £110 so I think these will sell like hot cakes !!! We’ll see.
There are loads of BMW’s coming out as well.

They’ve carried on the Evo series with the Lunchbox.

Any of these new offerings grab anyone’s attention or are we disappointed ???
Do we think anything else will be released later in the year, a 959, spare tyres for the Blazing Blazer / Wild Willy 🤦‍♂️

I'll be trying to get 2 of the Ranger kits and a Lunchbox Evo, but Tamiya should have used the DT-04 gearbox and Hornet Evo frontend like I did. Hopefully they'll do separate body sets for the Mini sooner than later. The new Porsche chassis looks like it'd be an interesting build.

Also, looking closer at the Lunchbox pics, did Tamiya blatantly lift the new double wishbone front suspension from UKmonsters?

Yeah I need thay Mampe Capri yes

The next ones to get for me is the XLT and the EVO Lunchbox.
At one picture I saw trailing arms on the EVO Lunchbox, but still orginal gearbox. Possible the gearbox is 3 linked?
Also the weelbase is 10mm longer than a normal Lunchbox.
Servo is now mounted in the center with eaqual steering links.
Bodymounts are different too, lowering the body.

And since I got the 3 former 1:24 model kits of the Zakspeed Capri, I will get the new issue of the 78`Mampe kit.
Yes they made both 1:10 and 1:24 version of the Mampe Capri. 24376 is the kit number for the 1:24.

I'm excited about the Ranger and find myself wondering if this means we'll get an updated Blackfoot with the proper Ford logo.

I might be one of the few who finds the new Quirkhopper fascinating.  I'm probably going to get one.

I would also have preferred the 1/12 hard body on the Porsche.  The new chassis has the right suspension and motor layout for an eventual 959 re-re, but it would have to be in 1/10 scale to fit.

I feel like 1-10 scale is the default for Tamiya on their scale kits.

I saw a picture of the Lunchbox rear suspension and it’s definitely a bit more complicated than the original.
