You are my HERO

I'm not going to ask you anything else, because I'll keep you busy for a month... But lets just say, if you make a radiator and dual fans, I'll take one for sure...

I was thinking of placing it here:

I guess that's a logical place for it on a 1:1 crawler - no chance of it getting hit by any rocks, unless you roll it & then you'd have bigger problems anyway

... from my point of view it's good as there's plenty of depth there ... looks good :)

Decided to make some sand ladders for the F350.

Started with some some 3mm styrene sheets:

Made 2 reinforcement rails for the bottom:

And then started adding rails on the top for traction:

And it seems to carry the weight of the truck:

When the glue is completely dry, I'll shot it with flat aluminium paint, and when that is dry, I'll try black washing the whole thing.

Excellent :L

Usually scale sand ladders are just for show - but those look like they really could get a scaler/crawler out of a hole ... I might have to copy those :D

I have to admit defeat on the filter - if I tell you this was my "best" out of 9 attempts I think that'll tell you something :S As well as being quite ugly, it has minimal airflow - I don't think an ESC fan would be able to pull any fresh air through it :(

I also tried forming my last bit of aluminium body repair mesh & that split & tore everywhere ... I think the best way to fill that hole is going to be a bit of mesh fixed to the inside of the bonnet ... unless you want one that just fills the hole & doesn't admit any air at all - I'm sure I could make something quite pretty then :)

Thanks for trying, I'll give it a try, and keep you posted. And you more than welcome to copy the sand ladders. Or feel free to improve on them... :cheer:

I decided to dust this old project off, and complete it:

I must still complete the doors, and tailgate. Lights are on the cards as well...
