My Pug 205 has been sitting like this in the cabinet for a while since the Escort Mk2 build robbed the tires.

The L&L tires I bought a while ago was for this project.
Said tires had a loose fit on the 205 wheels, so instead these tires was fitted on the Escort Mk2 and the Pug got the genuine HPI MX60 tires from the Escort.

Fitted

Plan on getting a new body for this. Already got decals for it.

I finally found the red parts online (FF-1), which I`ve never seen for years and years!
Had to order as they only had one set in stock.
Also ordered the white rod end bag (FF-13).

Should be here in 2-3 weeks...

Going to order a body later this year from TBG when I get the funds.
Also need a set of MX60 slicks for this project.

Only missing now are the front bumper (FF-17) which is hard to come by as well.

I never ran mine. Only restored it and bought it to put the body I had from a bodies hold up to my rc shop. I should buy the body nip for 1 or 2 euros.

Today the parts arrived. Or rather I had to pick them up in the post isle at the grocery store.
Norwegian postal service just gets worse.
This was a DHL parcel that the norwegian postal service handled, and no text or mail even both was supplied on the package...

These parts cost me with 45.52 Euro in total with 23 Euro in shipping/handling included.
On top of that was norwegian custom fee was 18 Euro so 63.52 Euro in total.
Not cheap, but needed...

Today was time for putting some work into this project.
With these parts and the cleaned hardware I should be able to make it near complete.

How it looked earlier today..

Rebuilt with new standoffs, top plate, red parts and suspension parts.
The orginal motor needs a rebuild as it is hard to turn.

Not stock hardware left useable so it was a mix of stock, black Tamiya screws and black button screws on the bottom.

Had to reuse the old rods. More in a bit.
This is turn in adjustment. I like a bit oversteer so next lowest position for me. Upper top will give understeer. I don`t like that.

Other side.
All these pictures is with the 3d printed wheels I had made for me some years ago. Orginal wheels NIB is near impossible to find.

Would like either orginal screws everwhere or button heads screws, but I don`t have that much self tapper in my parts bin.
This project used 3x8, 3x12, 3x18 and 3x30 self tapper. And some fex 3x8 and 3x12 machine screws.
Remember this is my orginal bent chassis that met a concrete wall head on at full throttle.
Due heavy scratches I polished it some years ago.

And here is something that never has occured to me before.
These replacement rod set (FF-13), the tie rods itself was thinner than the kit ones. So much so I could slide the rod end off without problem.
The stock ones that came in the kit are at least a half millimeter thicker.
Thankfully I still had a complete set from the donor vehicle I bought many years ago.

15 year old me seems to be crap at adding decals lol.
Since I still have to rebuild the shocks, the body is now slammed.
The shocks from my donor car has massive gauges in the them so they are not useable at all.
Also a obsolete item. The shocks for this and the sister model CRX has small scale shocks at 50mm total length outside to outside, with 2mm pin securing them to the suspension arms.
Only shocks that might work for this model is the Yeah Racing shocks for the SCX24, same as those I have bought for my split window camper tribute build.
If the stock ones will not be rebuildable for some reason that might be the route to go.

I will order a new body in near future.
Hidden in a box I have new decals for it.

Since this vehicle is the only one that uses 1.7" threaded tires in the rc world, I have tipped Marwan about this. So hopefully they will make some in the future.
HPI Cup Racer (MX60) tires are same size both wheel and tire hight (60mm), but comes only in slicks as seen in these pictures. And they are getting harder to come by.
L&L models do make repro MX60 tires tho.
Porsche 959 slicks are also 1.7" / 60mm, but they are expensive if you find some. Would rather put them on a 959...
