The files are now live on cults3D... I finally put everything together. I did not include the bodyshell mold, but indicated how to get a bodyshell if needed...

The file set for Hunter/Galaxy was featured in the "Best designs" category on the home page of cults3D, and this has quite an impact on views, followers and likes...

Well deserved Marc!
You are doing so much for keeping old rc cars on the road, parts are either obsolete or expensive to get hold of. 3d print is great way to keep this hobby alive. BTW I saw Factory Works made a chassis for the Big Bear recently. Not often that happens! |

Jeff (Factory Works) made it few years back... He was also speaking about building one for the Ninja... BTW, one thing that is not perfect on his Big Bear chassis is that it is only working for the Big Bear. There is no way it works with the Super Wheelie (unless he does change it, which is not yet the case yet, I believe). I'm time to time discussing with him, I'll ask him next time... Time to think 1/2 or more exactly 1/20
I decided to print the chassis 1/2 as is to see the extend of work required to make this happen... The print itself is not too bad, but there is some work to do... Among the revision required : - snapable intergated support are required so the rear bottom part of the chassis is where it is expected to be : there is some warping in this area which I can't explain in the slicing, and it is probably link with the fact I did not used specific interface support material (it's warped on the side where the layer is starting at that place) - ball bearing cages will require revision as per the shafts and ball bearing I'll use for the build which are not exactly 1/10 divided by 2 - idle shaft hooks will need some revisions as well (I'll probably have to use a diameter of 2mm instead of a 1/16 inch diameter) - battery room will probably need some adaptation (although I'm not sure how this will work yet as I did not find the proper battery yet) Among the good news : the print is likely strong enough for that and there is no need to increase the walls thickness, I have some doubts regarding where the screws goes, but I''ll test to see if it fits : I want to keep it as close as possible of the original one with the size divided by 2...
