Can't say I like the repro mirrors much, but the repro door handles are excellent. "Glass" and headlights are very yellow & the number plates are obviosuly DIY, but for what i paid for the body and how incomplete it was, I'm happy. Not entirely sold on the chrome exhaust TBH ...

I've been tidying up this "mk.2" SRB chassis with the idea that it'll be a home (possibly just temporary) for the Monster Munch re-re Scorcher shell. Ideally it should come apart for a thorough clean/blast of the pot metal parts, but even with the mix of re-re, vintage used and NOS vintage parts I've thrown at it, it's not looking bad. At least not IRL, the mech box looks awful in the photo but has had a very thorough clean & polish.

I did think it was odd that I couldn't find my Proline waffle tyres while I was doing this and the mk.1 chassis now under the red & yellow vintage Scorcher body. Today I had to make some replacement pins for the bottom for the only (and very rough) set of camlocks I could find, and became sure I was missing a stash of better SRB parts, somewhere.

I remember painting the JPS body last spring (or possibly Autumn 2023) and blasting some SRB pot metal parts around Autumn 2024, but TBH I'm at a bit of a loss to explain the rest of the contents of this crate

I love the JPS paint job

Still one of my fave race liverys to date!

Nice work on the other shells as well
I think the saved SRB came out good IMO!
Glad when something "junk" can be saved and get a new lease of life.

Monster Munch shell finished, I did put a few more sponsor decals on a first but peeled them off after a couple of days as it looked too busy :)

Decals on the red/yellow Scorcher ... you see a lot with the M E X I C O text on the front of the roof, but it's not there on the "official" box sides ...

Comparing the two, the colour differences don't show up that well but the yellow on the Monster Munch 2010 shell is a lot, lot paler & the red on the vintage shell is a lot deeper than they appear.
