Ooohhhh top Al! Cva's are box dampers on the cc01. Lights are options (on the original release) bf goodrich tires are from the pajero and ta02t ( better than the original semi on road wrangler tires). I'm in love of the wrangler and the cc01. I restored mine some years ago and used a modern body and a pajero body. I can't wait to see your built.

For me, your body is a V1 original one with the moulding hole . Build it as a cc01. Same the box is an original one.🤤

Thanks Flo, it’s good to know the body is original. I suspect the tyres and wheels I bought are original as well as they have the stickers on them.
I will attempt a 100% CC-01 rebuild.

If you haven't screw holes under foot steps, it's a "V1" body.

Nice find Al. I love these CC-01 chassis and have had a couple. IMHO, some of the best online scores are these types of boxes just like you got. The shocks sort of confuse me though as I remember my CC-01 coming with exactly those type..... But no matter cause the bubble packs look great hanging in the man cave!!! LOL!

Cheers Jim. This was definitely a very fortunate find, I’d been looking around for a chassis for a while, but nothing much seemed to come up and I didn’t want to buy a full kit. I’m on the lookout for the instruction manual now. And I’m looking forward to the build.

I’ve never had a belt drive car. Back in the mid 80’s a friend got the Mugen Bulldog which I was belt or chain driven, but it always seemed to be more trouble than it was worth. But then that could have been down to how he’d set it up.

I've had a a few and this is config. that has always run smoothly for me. not much more than an idler adjustment here and there. I have had a couple multi belt cars (like my TA05 Type 2) that will sometimes have one belt that won't stay tight.... etc...
I believe they are largely inefficient due to the amount of rotating mass and the overall friction of a belt vs the direct drive of a motor and spur but fun none the less.
