It's pretty big. Body is 1:10 scale. I haven't got it here - it's at my storage unit (hidden from the wife!) Tyres are probably 5" (125mm) diameter.

A Mondeo arrived today which I got off the bay at a very good price!

Not too bad condition... but I'm afraid the lexan will have to go on the restore.

Don't restore the body, It is not a tamiya and it looks fuuny

I'm afraid Stingray's right - that's not a Tamiya Mondeo shell, if it was it would be a mk.1 saloon (i.e. smaller rear window & larger flat boot lid area, + with a slatted front grille, not oval).

There's an outside chance it's an HPI Mondeo shell (which is a mk.2 hatchback with oval grille, but really quite unconvincing due the roof being a lot smaller & lower than it should be), your shell does seem to have some aspects that are correct for the HPI Mondeo shell, but it looks too tall & with the whacked out paintjob it's hard to tell

I don't know what to tell you ... I love the FF01 chassis, but that body doesn't look right ... Personally, I'd set the rear up with the toe-out option, put a hotter motor (at least 23T, maybe a 19T) & have fun ruining it

How much did you pay for it BTW? just curious as I just sold the lighter blue one in one of the photos here for 40 GBP

Sorry Jonny but I like the deco of this mondeo. I made some tests of now researched bodies like my clowny civic I have 4 FF01 boxart but I think that this body could be a runner body. I have some old bodies to sale that I bought for painting trainings but they are funny to run

Hmmmm... yes I guess that's why I don't like it then!! Chassis is fine but the shell will have to go. It's been poorly cut-out as well.

I bought it for £35 plus £6 postage.

I've seen a body kit NIB on the bay for £55... what do you think... too expensive?
