Having fun and games with this one and eBay. I noticed that Paypal had not taken the payment and it was marked as "Pending". I asked the seller about it and he said it was because he was a new ebayer and the payment was on hold for 21 days. OK, I thought. So I received the item and left feedback. AFAIK this should have released the funds from PP to the vendor. It didn't. So I looked up "Pending" and it said one reason was that the item was sent to an "unconfirmed" address and the vendor had to manually claim the funds. In this case I had had the parcel sent to a self-storage warehouse that I use for work because I am not always at home to sign for things, so the delivery address was unconfimed. I told the vendor that I thought he needed to claim the payment, but still nothing happened. Eventually the transaction disappeared from my Paypal account all together. I have now received a message from the vendor asking for my email address to send a PP invoice to. Now, I don't mind paying for the item like this, but I don't want to end up paying twice. Seeing as the original transaction is not on my PP account, is there a chance of this happening? I think the vendor is genuine and I feel sorry for him as he is new to ebay and being messed about. Thoughts? |

You could always drop a line to PP and query the payment from your side, you may find that after a month if a payment isn't collected it is cancelled? In that case you would know and be free to send the payment without double paying, in any case keep up the communication with the vendor so he doesn't get that I've been ripped feeling
If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem mate
