That looks stunning!

How hard is it to get hold of BMX parts?

This was my BMX in the 80s. Never found out what model it was or if it was a different brand. Pedal brakes rear, gold frame and gold wire wheels.

My bmx were bought in supermarket and I killed the 2 I had very young I used them near the death. After arrived the vtt mode. I remind that in the 80's in France the brand mbk made a bmx . Mine wasn't mbk but it was white with foams and blue and/ or red stamps. And with classic metal rims.

Hi Richard and thanks. This one has been on my radar for a bit now. It is a reproduction made by the same company and serialized differently so as to respect those vintage collectors much like Tamiya.

Used parts are pretty abundant and not too bad price wise but complete bikes (like most other things here) are priced somewhere over the Moon so this was my best chance to get something very close. Lots of decent brand new repros too!    Just like RC, waiting for the Postman. LOL

Love the vintage pic, tons of those in my family too!!

RIP Mr Tamiya,

Seems he passed on the 18th July aged 90.
If you Google it, there is a press release on the Tamiya site & his passing is covered in NYTimes & several others

The wife admits that it's calming to sit up there in the TV room and look at the cars and listen to music.
Called IKEA today and I'm getting 3 more glass shelves, then I can make room for more cars in the cabinets🤩
