Wiring is run and cleaned up. I cut out the side of the switch holder to mod it to fit the quicrun power switch and made a little stick pack using the battery cover. I bet some less weights are in my future. .... she is completely ceramic bearings throughout now and I need shocks and I'm going to throw some blu tac In the rear diff with some hard drifting tires to see what happens.

So I found a set of aluminum dampers in my parts box. Oil filled adjustable but for 1 18 scale. I measured and they were same length as stock so I mocked them up but they needed a washer to snug em up. I found the perfect use for the plastic bearings that come with it ! Anyone see a problem with this before I do the rear....seems much improved already, no more tiny shaky bouncy up front...those stock springs like to hop around.

Yea I don't really believe in full alloy chassis but a few key pieces are essential. I like plastic as it flexes as opposed to breaks. I hope the steering kit gives me a bit more dialabilty. I usually just do dogbones driveline hexes and steering stuff. The rest I leave.

Yep. Aloy is nice but less flexible. I made a ff01 with a lot of gpm alloy parts but only for fun. I never ran it. And I was desappointed by my full alloy mini rs4 kit. Your parts are only necessary spares.

Oh nice . I'll be tapping your off-road knowledge soon as I want a crawler. How did you like the mini rs4 ? My LHS has one but I don't know very much about it. Is it a belt drive?

That is a hpi nitro mini RS4. It is an on road rc.
4x4 belts drive with a m chassis size. A lot of agility and a «big» engine. A famous chassis. Mine has a civic body+ a mercedes A klass. |
