:) Many thanks Jonny.
You know, I can have all your materials, your methods but what I miss is your talent.
I don't cut straight, when I glue something, I make a lot of marks etc.
I promise you to do efforts and upgrade my level.
Thanks a lot for your talents and explainations.

Redid the roof, + lots more detail, mostly on the sides ... still need to make headlights, mirrors & wipers :)

This is soooo cool!

I don't understand how you can make out the different layers of plasticard needed to build the contour/details of the body... :y:

Last few external details - "glass" all round, wipers, indicator lenses, headlamps (including provision for 5mm LEDs) & lenses, grille badge backgrounds & Mercedes badge.

Due to a combination of Christmas & man 'flu progress has been very slow ... seats are very similar to the one I made for the Fiat tractor, but then the driver body is the same ... I had to narrow the passenger bench seat by 10mm, the dash has its basic shape but a lot of detail is still needed. Note cylinder in right hand (the dimensions look like Red Bull to me ) - the steering wheel needed to be much closer to horizontal & I needed something to bridge the gaps.

Well I've thought about this & still haven't got an answer for you - I just can't see it as some sort of super power that other people don't have  ... but assuming you do, maybe it's just an adjustment my brain has made because of (or a corollary of) my inability to process 3D in the "normal" way.

Anyway, the dashboard has now gone from a featureless box to complete, thanks to 3 layers of detailing - I started with a number of reference pics of a LHD Unimog for sale ad, mentally transposed it to RHD. It's held in by compression ATM, my measurements & guesswork added up quite well, & I'm hopeful it'll ping right out again for painting.

Still debating adding partial door cards/details + floor mats, but I do plan to add provision for a speaker + some ribbing on the back of the cab before I can consider the front end done :)
