Plain white Shapeways' Knight Customs Willy figure body & arms bought quite cheaply on eBay, and completed on Shapeways at ludicrous expense ... I still don't know how a company can charge so much (even though most designers add nothing to to the prices) plus all sorts of add ons for the most basic of services that really ought to be included - and _still_ go bust.

Paint (apart from the face, which came that way) is Tamiya X & XF acrylics, plan is was to put him in a yellow jeep & add a couple of surfboards - but apart from the one yellow Pennzoil WW2K on TC recently, yellow really doesn't suit it IMO. I've done blue before, so maybe a darker blue?

Resin Willy figure bought on eBay, 152mm tall - regular Willy driver & modified Mezco Jack figure for size comparison.

Will need a bit of sanding, scraping & filling before priming, but is pretty good for a garage made casting.

No idea how many were produced but this is only the second one I've seen, the other one was painted blue & red IIRC & someone else bought it while I was thinking about it.

Pose is a bit Lord Flasheart, but I'll probably so with M38 boxart paint.

Primed then painted in boxart style, Vallejo acrylics on face/helmet & Tamiya XF acyrlics on the rest. I'm wondering if I should have gone for something a bit less plain ...

The hands on hips, vision aimed down stance makes him look like he's looking at a steaming great pile of ordure, like a Vectra C or something

I love how you paint the eyes. I will have to make a WW2 pilot for a friend and I have to try to make same eyes as yours.

I bought a Mezzco Osbournes "Jack" figure with the Willy head mod already done, it was the most expensive one I've bought so far, but still pretty cheap for what it was - the head was in bare plastic & I think most people don't really like painting them ...  not sure I do either, I just like it when all the work comes together near the end.

As always, the fit of the head halves wasn't great, so after sanding, filling, sanding again and priming it's still not started, but at least it's ready to start.

No plans for it beyond trying to get the face done to around the same as the "intermediate" standard I've managed with Vallejo paints, but with Tamiya acrylics & the aid of a wet pallette :)
